On Tuesday members spent time updating the hosebed on 28-13. While the standard hoseline for residential structure fires on our engines is an 1.75″ line that is capable of around 175 gpm, the department also utilizes 2.5″ attack line for larger fires in commercial buildings and our larger apartment complexes. The larger line is capable of flowing 300 gpm and provides greater knockdown power on a larger fire. Members switched these hoseloads from a single to a dual stack to allow members to deploy the line quicker and standardize reloading.

While most of the department worked on 28-13, members also completed driver training on 28-11 and 28-14.
