Friday evening the 28 crews were back at it with Vernon Central Hose and Cochranton Volunteer Fire Dept & Emergency Service responding to a local business for a reported structure fire. 28-12 arrived first in and pulled past the bin deploying multiple attack lines to cover exposures and a large propane tank. By pulling past, room was made for 23-9 to deploy their ladder for an elevated master stream. 4-25 arrived and provided additional water and manpower. 28-13 shuttled water and 28-11 along with manpower from Cochranton set up 28-11’s twin 500-gpm portable pumps securing a water supply for the tankers at the Wilson Chutes access area. All three fire departments performed exceptionally well and prevented further damage to surrounding structures.

Between the incident and several hours of clean up, 28 crews logged almost 4 hours in this incident.
