At 2:00 PM West Mead #1 was dispatched as part of a first alarm to assist Cochranton with a working structure fire on Schreck Road. Engines 28-13, 28-12, and 28-11 responded to the scene, a 2 1/2-story wood-frame farmhouse with heavy flames and smoke showing, per Chief 4. Engine 28-13 provided water to Cochranton’s Engine 4-21, while a combined crew from 28-12 and 28-13 was assigned to vent the roof. Engine 28-11 established water supply from a nearby pond with help from Utica. Crews from Dept 28 helped with overhaul and cleanup as the incident wrapped up.

West Mead #1 thanks Meadville Central for covering a medical call in our district while 28 personnel were committed to the structure fire.

All 28 units returned to service by 5:45 PM.
