At 10:28 PM West Mead 1 was dispatched as part of a second alarm to assist with a working residential fire in Vernon Township. Engines 28-13 and 28-12 responded to the well-involved single-story home on South Mosiertown Road. West Mead 1 engines assisted with water supply, while one 28 crew was assigned to overhaul in the attic and another crew vented the roof. Firefighters worked for several hours to complete overhaul, and West Mead 1 returned to service at 1:42 AM.
No injuries were reported.
Other agencies on scene included Vernon Township, Vernon Central, Conneaut Lake, Hayfield, Meadville Central, Saegertown, West Mead 2, Meadville Ambulance, and Pennsylvania State Police.
