At 1:28 pm West Mead 1 and 2 were dispatched with Meadville Ambulance for a structure fire on Livermore Road. Engines 28-13, 28-12, and 28-11 responded, with 28-14 bringing personnel to the scene. Arriving units found a split-level single family residence, with smoke just starting to show at the second-floor windows. Crews made an interior attack on the room and contents fire, located in a bedroom on the alpha-delta corner. West Mead 2’s Tower 29-9 arrived and their crew assisted with ladders, a primary search of the ground floor, and salvage. The fire was marked under control at 2:00 PM, followed by overhaul and ventilation on the second floor.

All occupants evacuated the building safely, but one cat remained unaccounted for.

Meadville Ambulance, West Mead Police and Penelec also responded to the scene to assist.

All 28 units were in service by 4:10 pm.
