At 1:32 PM West Mead #1 was dispatched for a brush fire on Cochranton Road (US 322) with exposure of a residence. Engines 28-12 and 28-13 responded to the scene, where the wind spread fire from a burn pile to a yard and a nearby tree.
On Saturday evening West Mead #1 took part in the annual Meadville Crawford Area Young Chamber of Commerce (CAYCC) Halloween Parade.
