When the tones drop and the West Mead crew rolls out, we’re ready to move! But we don’t count on making up time at high speed. In fact, newer fire engines are equipped with mechanical governors that max out at 60 mph or 68 mph, depending on vehicle weight. With 15 to 30 tons of apparatus and water, “fast” isn’t a smart choice.

Since we can’t drive faster than the trucks allow, we rely on you. We make up our response time through the courtesy of drivers deferring to our lights and sirens, clearing a path so we can maintain a steady, safe pace.

This week we’re raffling off a full book of 30 $30 PA Lottery tickets, 30 chances to hit the fast lane with a $120 Million payout pool. No speed limit max here, just an open road to winning!

Tickets are non-refundable.

Chances are sold online at westmead1.com under Small Games of Chance SGC26040.

Ticket numbers are randomly generated and emailed instantly.

Names and numbers are posted when all tickets sell; the date of the drawing will also be announced, to be broadcast on Facebook Live.

If sales slow or stop, West Mead 1 may cancel the raffle and refund all sales.

All proceeds benefit West Mead firefighters.

Must be 18+ to purchase.

Winner will be contacted for pickup at a West Mead fire station, either on Liberty Street Extension or Ryan Road in Meadville, or at Tamarack Armory on Franklin Pike. The winner(s) may request that the prize be mailed to his or her location in the continental US at no additional cost.

If prize is not claimed after 30 days, the prize becomes property of West Mead District #1 Vol. Fire Company.
