There was a time when calling West Mead’s volunteers to an emergency meant someone running to sound the siren by hand and hoping enough people were close enough to hear it. Today, dispatchers at Crawford County Department of Public Safety do that job for us, keying up the radio the second a call comes in and sending our members racing for the truck bay. Radio transmissions are supplemented by app notifications with more information and an opportunity to indicate a response. Radio Star Lotto celebrates that transition, from siren to scanner, with a prize that’s still built to grab your attention.

This board holds 30 Pennsylvania Lottery $1.5 Million Super Star scratch-offs at $30 apiece, $900 in tickets in all, and one winner takes the whole board home. Every scratch is a shot at a top prize of $1.5 million.

Tickets are non-refundable.

Chances are sold online at westmead1.com under Small Games of Chance SGC26040.

Ticket numbers are randomly generated and emailed instantly.

Names and numbers are posted when all tickets sell; the date of the drawing will also be announced, to be broadcast on Facebook Live.

If sales slow or stop, West Mead 1 may cancel the raffle and refund all sales.

All proceeds benefit West Mead firefighters.

Must be 18+ to purchase.

Winner will be contacted for pickup at a West Mead fire station, either on Liberty Street Extension or Ryan Road in Meadville, or at Tamarack Armory on Franklin Pike. The winner(s) may request that the prize be mailed to his or her location in the continental US at no additional cost.

If prize is not claimed after 30 days, the prize becomes property of West Mead District #1 Vol. Fire Company.
