Hydrant Lotto

Description

As soon as we are dispatched for a fire, we start thinking about a water source. If municipal hydrants are available, that’s always our first play. Color matters, since the default red is low flow (below 500gpm), orange is OK, green is good, and blue is best! Sometimes a freshly installed red hydrant just hasn’t been tested and painted the correct color. Then we don’t know what to expect until we open the valve to charge the supply line.

This week’s ticket frenzy features a full book of Triple Red 777 $30 scratchers from the PA Lottery, offering you a chance to try your luck and see what kind of flow you get.

Ready for water? Hit it! The frenzy starts now!
