Structure Fire Assist
to Vernon Township
2-5-12 - 7:30 a.m.
West Mead #1 assisted Vernon Twp (27) with
RIT and an engine at the scene of a structure fire near Mercer
Street. West Mead #1 responded with 28-13 and 28-12. 28-13
secured a hydrant near Seco Warwick and supplied 29-2 with water
while the crew from 13 established the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT).
28-12 arrived on scene placing it's crew into service for
suppression operations. Eventually, the crew from 28-13 was
released from RIT and assisted with extensive overhaul
operations. Crews returned to service just before noon.
